Sam Shade Appointed Head Coach at Alabama A&M

Sam Shade has been appointed as the head football coach at Alabama A&M University, following a successful tenure at Miles College. Shade, a former NFL player and Alabama Crimson Tide star, transformed Miles College from a 1-9 team in his first season to a 10-3 record, including a conference title and a playoff win in 2024. He brings a wealth of experience, having held coaching positions at various levels, including Samford, Georgia State, and the Cleveland Browns. At Miles, he was recognized as the SIAC Coach of the Year and achieved the longest winning streak in school history. Alabama A&M's Director of Athletics, Dr. Paul Bryant, praised Shade for his extensive knowledge and successful track record, considering him the ideal candidate to lead the Bulldogs. Shade's appointment is seen as a new and exciting era for Alabama A&M football.
