Body Found in Gilroy Linked to Missing Man

A body discovered in an unincorporated area near Gilroy may belong to Gabriel Lara de Lara, a 21-year-old man reported missing since December 1. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and working with the Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office to confirm the identity. Lara de Lara was last seen driving a black 2003 Infiniti FX45 at Monterey Road and Rucker Avenue, where his abandoned vehicle was later found. Authorities have requested public assistance in locating any information related to his disappearance. He is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
