Mumbai Indians Sign Mujeeb Ur Rahman for IPL 2025

The Mumbai Indians have signed Afghan cricketer Mujeeb Ur Rahman to replace his compatriot Allah Ghazanfar, who is out of the IPL 2025 season due to a spinal fracture sustained during Afghanistan's tour of Zimbabwe. The injury will also prevent Ghazanfar from participating in the Champions Trophy as he requires at least four months of recovery. Mujeeb, who debuted in the IPL at 17, was unsold in the 2025 auction but has an extensive T20 record with nearly 330 wickets in over 300 games at an economy of around 6.5. The Mumbai Indians secured Mujeeb for Rs 2 crore. The team expressed their well wishes for Ghazanfar's recovery and welcomed Mujeeb into their lineup as they aim to improve their performance this season.
