XPeng Plans Extended-Range G7, P7+ Launches in 2026

XPENG is expanding its extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) lineup with the upcoming launch of the G7 REEV, expected in the first quarter of 2026, featuring a 1.5-liter range extender and a 55.8 kWh battery delivering a pure electric range of up to 430 kilometers. The G7 REEV SUV incorporates XPENG's signature 'Robot Face' design and advanced technology including an 800-volt platform supporting ultra-fast charging and AI features powered by the company's in-house developed Turing AI chip. Alongside the G7 REEV, XPENG plans to introduce an extended-range P7+ sedan next year, which will also offer 5C charging and an estimated 400-kilometer battery range, reflecting the company’s strategy to offer both pure-electric and extended-range variants globally. XPENG’s extended-range technology, branded as the Kunpeng Super Electric System, aims to achieve combined ranges up to 1,400 kilometers, addressing range anxiety concerns. The company has demonstrated robust growth with a 242% year-over-year increase in EV deliveries in Q2 2025 and expanding partnerships, including a technical collaboration with Volkswagen on both electric and hybrid platforms in China. This growth, combined with CEO Xiaopeng He’s recent significant stock purchase, underscores investor confidence in XPENG’s position as a leading innovator in the smart EV market.
