The 34-year-old expressed that her condition makes it difficult to train for the required duration to compete at the highest level. As a result, she is contemplating retirement and plans to make a final decision by the end of the year. Despite her struggles, Nehwal reflected on her successful career with pride, acknowledging that she has given her all to the sport. She also highlighted the emotional difficulty of potentially ending her career, given that it has been her lifelong pursuit since the age of nine.
