Dhadak 2 Stumbles Amid Box Office Competition

'Dhadak 2', starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, earned approximately Rs 12.8 crore in its first four days, with box office growth peaking on Sunday before dropping 66% on Monday. The film, praised for its performances and exploration of caste discrimination, has struggled against strong competition from Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar 2', the animated 'Mahavatar Narsimha', and blockbuster 'Saiyaara'. Hindi occupancy rates for 'Dhadak 2' remained low at around 14–15%. To spur ticket sales, producers launched a Rs 99 ticket promotion. Critics have acknowledged the film's social relevance, but its commercial performance lags behind its predecessor and rival sequels. 'Saiyaara' continues to dominate, surpassing Rs 300 crore in domestic earnings.
