Williams, a director whose credits include Lisa Frankenstein, has long opposed using deceased actors' likenesses without consent and raised the issue during 2023 SAG-AFTRA discussions. She also noted past misuse of Robin Williams's voice and criticized a wider surge of AI portrayals of deceased celebrities, likening the consumption to a "Human Centipede" of content.
