Malcolm in Middle Revival Featuring Frankie Muniz Premieres December on Disney+

Frankie Muniz is reprising his role as Malcolm in the highly anticipated four-episode revival of "Malcolm in the Middle," titled "Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair," set to premiere on Disney+ in December 2025. The limited series explores Malcolm as an adult navigating life with his own child, while still entangled in the chaos of his family, especially around his parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Muniz expressed that filming the reboot was "the best time of my entire life" and described the experience as surreal, with an immediate connection felt upon reuniting with co-stars Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, and Justin Berfield. Though the revival had to condense 20 years of story into four 30-minute episodes, Muniz is confident fans will be pleased with the storyline and character developments, noting surprises in where everyone is now. The role of Dewey has been recast with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, as original actor Erik Per Sullivan declined to return. Muniz also revealed a personal reflection that Malcolm was "the worst character on that show," despite his deep affection for the project and openness to acting roles that complement his racing career.
