Walsh and Douglass Shine at World Championships

Gretchen Walsh delivered a remarkable performance at the World Short Course Championships in Budapest, breaking multiple world records including the women's 100 butterfly with a time of 52.71 seconds and the women's 50 freestyle with a time of 22.87 seconds. Meanwhile, fellow American Kate Douglass continued her impressive streak by breaking her own world record in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:12.50, and also setting a new world record in the 200 IM. Douglass has won multiple medals across various meets in 2024, including the Olympics, and continues to dominate in short course swimming events. Both swimmers have demonstrated exceptional underwater power, contributing to their record-breaking performances.
