IDF Expands Gaza Operations, Establishes Magen Oz Corridor

The IDF has intensified operations in both southern and northern Gaza, including the establishment of the Magen Oz corridor in Khan Younis to disrupt Hamas activities and split the city, weakening the local Hamas brigade. Multiple brigades, such as the 188th Armored, Golani, Givati, Kfir, and elite Yahalom combat engineers, have participated in these efforts. The destruction of a major 3.5-kilometer-long Hamas tunnel complex with living quarters occurred in Khan Younis. In Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, IDF forces killed dozens of terrorists, destroyed tunnels, booby traps, rocket launchers, and explosives, often with air support. The operations have also targeted Hezbollah and Syrian positions with airstrikes beyond Gaza. The IDF states these actions are part of efforts to protect Israeli civilians and counter multiple regional threats.
