Tigers Beat Guardians 6-3, Advance to ALDS

The Detroit Tigers defeated the Cleveland Guardians 6-3 in decisive Game 3 of the AL Wild Card Series to advance to the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners. Dillon Dingler hit a go-ahead 401-foot solo homer in the sixth — his first postseason hit and RBI — and Javier Báez ignited a four-run seventh that featured a two-RBI single from Wenceel Pérez plus RBI hits from Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene as Detroit sent 10 batters to the plate. The Tigers opened the scoring earlier on a play that scored Parker Meadows and advanced Kerry Carpenter.
