Florida Man Arrested for Threatening Kamala Harris, Ilhan Omar

Franklin Jarrell, a 59-year-old man from Florida, has been arrested for making violent threats against former Vice President Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar on TikTok. He faces charges of sending threatening communications in interstate commerce and making threats against a federal official, according to a federal criminal complaint. Jarrell's posts included explicit threats to kill both politicians, using racist language and violent imagery, and were reported to the FBI, who alerted the Secret Service. In a series of comments made between February 11 and 13, he claimed to know their personal information and expressed intentions to harm them. The investigation revealed his aggressive communications continued even when contacted by a Secret Service agent. Jarrell was arrested on February 18 after local law enforcement intervened.
