Japan's Economy Grows 0.9% in Q3
Japan's economy showed an annualized growth of 0.9% in the July-September quarter, surpassing economists' median forecast of 0.7%. This marks the second consecutive quarter of expansion following a robust 2.2% increase in the previous quarter, although this figure was revised down from an initial 2.9%. The quarterly GDP increase also aligned with market expectations, reflecting a slight uptick in personal consumption despite rising prices influencing consumer behavior. Analysts had anticipated modest growth due to a slowdown in spending, which constitutes more than half of Japan's GDP. In contrast, India experienced a rebound in industrial growth to 3.1% in September, following a contraction in August, driven by improved performance in several core sectors.
