HBO Max Stops Carrying CNN Max in U.S.

Warner Bros. Discovery says HBO Max will stop carrying CNN’s 24/7 live news stream, CNN Max, in the U.S. on Nov. 17, 2025. Subscribers will still have on-demand access to select CNN Originals such as Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy. CNN is preparing a standalone direct-to-consumer streaming service as part of an “All Access” bundle that will combine video with access to some paywalled CNN articles and will include live channels, catch-up features and VOD. CNN and Warner Bros. Discovery have not disclosed final pricing or an official launch date for the new streamer. The move follows the shutdown of CNN+ in 2022 and reflects broader WBD restructuring and streaming fragmentation that could lead to other linear and sports content migrating off HBO Max.
