F1 Drivers Parade in Life-Size LEGO Cars at Miami
At the Miami Grand Prix, Formula 1 drivers paraded in ten life-sized, fully functional F1 car replicas made entirely from Lego bricks, each representing a current team. The replicas, weighing approximately 1,500 kg—twice as much as a real F1 car—were powered by electric motors and could reach speeds of up to 20 km/h. Each car required about 400,000 standard Lego bricks and took a team of 26 designers and engineers over 22,000 hours and eight months to build, with authentic team liveries and sponsor details. The event is part of an ongoing multi-year partnership between Lego and F1 to engage fans through creative activations. During the parade, drivers entertained the crowd with playful racing antics. Lego’s F1 collaboration has also produced sets across Duplo, Speed Champions, and advanced Technic lines, expanding its reach to fans of all ages.
