Toney, Chalobah Included in England Squad Shakeup

Ivan Toney has been recalled to the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel for the first time since the Euro 2024 final, following his standout season with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, where he scored 28–29 goals and won the Asian Champions League. Tuchel cited a desire to assess Toney's personality and quality directly. Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah has received his first senior call-up, while the 26-man squad is missing Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Dominic Solanke, and Phil Foden, who has chosen to rest due to injury. Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham is included despite requiring upcoming shoulder surgery. Several players who will participate in the Club World Cup are also named in the squad. England will play Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on June 7 and Senegal in a friendly on June 10.
