CBS Plans Week-Long Daytime Run for 'Hollywood Squares'

CBS is promoting its reboot of 'Hollywood Squares' by airing encore episodes during a week-long daytime showcase from January 27 to January 31, filling the afternoon slot previously held by 'The Talk'. The revival, hosted by Nate Burleson with Drew Barrymore as the center square, will air at 2 p.m. ET, while also transitioning to a new primetime slot starting January 29 at 8 p.m. ET. The game show format features celebrities answering questions, and will include notable guests such as Tyra Banks and Whitney Cummings throughout the week. The change in timeslot reflects CBS's strategy to boost viewership for 'Hollywood Squares', which has faced scheduling adjustments since its delayed premiere due to the L.A. wildfires. Following the showcase, CBS will introduce a new scripted drama, 'Beyond the Gates', on February 24. The network is also leveraging its game show lineup, with 'The Price Is Right' and 'Raid the Cage' scheduled in succession during the evening hours.
