Glynn County Juvenile Charged With Multiple Thefts, Underage Firearm Possession

The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) arrested a 13-year-old juvenile on July 15 in connection with multiple vehicle thefts in the Somersby Pointe subdivision, where personal belongings and firearms were stolen. Investigation aided by residential security camera footage led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, who was charged with two counts of theft by entering an automobile and two counts of possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18. Authorities found two firearms, including one reported stolen from another Georgia county, along with other stolen items in the juvenile's bedroom. The juvenile is currently held at a youth detention center, and the investigation remains ongoing. Separately, in Spokane, a 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian, with charges including vehicular assault, felony hit and run, and DUI, where impairment and speed were factors.
