Washington launches $4M e-bike rebate program

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has launched the 'WE-Bike' instant rebate program, making $4 million available for residents looking to purchase electric bicycles. Starting from April 9, applicants can receive rebates of either $300 or $1,200, depending on income eligibility, with the program expected to issue around 10,000 vouchers. To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a household income at or below 80% of the county-area median income. The rebates can be used for new e-bike purchases and related accessories, but must be utilized within 45 days or by June 30.
