Inaugural Butter Chicken Festival Set for October

The inaugural Butter Chicken Festival will run from October 13-20 in the DMV, featuring local restaurants offering creative takes on Butter Chicken, with proceeds benefiting World Central Kitchen. A highlight will be a live cooking demonstration and book signing by Monica Saigal, author of 'Papa’s Butter Chicken', on October 20. In Phoenix, David Tyda, known for organizing food festivals, is launching a bar, Barcoa Agaveria, while also planning the upcoming Taco Fest and Phoenix Pizza Festival. The Pea Island Cookhouse Museum in Manteo will host events discussing the Freedmen’s Colony and its historical significance on October 5. Additionally, the Five Points Franklin Market is set for September 26, showcasing local vendors and live music ahead of the Pilgrimage Festival in Tennessee.
