National Gas Prices Hit Three-Year Low

Gas prices in the U.S. have reached their lowest point since May 2021, with the national average currently at $3.01 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA). While 32 states report averages below $3, California remains an outlier, with prices around $4.36 per gallon. States like Georgia and South Carolina are enjoying even lower average prices of $2.91 and $2.73, respectively. AAA anticipates that prices may drop further, potentially falling below $3 in the coming days. In Arkansas, the average price is just $2.61, making it one of the states with the lowest gas prices. Despite these declines, some regions, particularly in California, continue to face significantly higher prices than the national average.
