Morocco Signs Aerospace Agreement with Embraer

Morocco has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer to collaborate on various projects in the commercial and defense sectors, including establishing a maintenance and repair facility. This agreement, unveiled at the Marrakech Air Show, aims to significantly enhance Morocco's aerospace industry, with anticipated investments totaling $300 million by 2030 and $1 billion by 2035. The partnership aligns with Morocco's strategy to bolster its aerospace capabilities, evidenced by the presence of 147 aerospace plants in the country supplying major manufacturers like Boeing and Airbus. Additionally, Moroccan airline RAM is planning to expand its fleet to 200 aircraft, which could benefit from Embraer’s offerings. The cooperation will also emphasize skills training and sustainable aviation initiatives, reflecting a broader commitment to economic growth and innovation. Both parties expressed optimism about the mutual benefits and expanded cooperation between Brazil and Morocco.
