Quentin Tarantino Plans Theatrical Re-release of Kill Bill Combined Cut with New Animated Scene

Quentin Tarantino is set to re-release his iconic films Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 as a single, cohesive movie titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair on December 5, 2025. This version removes the original cliffhanger and recap, and adds a previously unseen seven-and-a-half-minute animated sequence by Production I.G. that explores the backstory of O-Ren Ishii, enhancing the film's narrative depth. Tarantino emphasized that he originally wrote and directed the story as one film and encourages fans to experience it in theaters on 70mm or 35mm for full visual impact. The combined film runs for approximately 258 minutes and features Uma Thurman as The Bride, who seeks vengeance against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their leader Bill, played by David Carradine. The re-release is highly anticipated by fans and is regarded as the definitive version of the Kill Bill saga. Tarantino has confirmed there will be no third Kill Bill film, focusing instead on presenting this complete vision to audiences.
