Jacinda Ardern Receives Damehood at Windsor

Jacinda Ardern, the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, was awarded a damehood during a heartfelt investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, presented by her friend Prince William. The ceremony showcased their camaraderie, with both smiling and appearing at ease as Prince William pinned the honor onto her sash. Ardern wore a navy blue silk dress complemented by a traditional Maori garment, which she later donned for official photos. The investiture also recognized 57 other individuals, including ultra-runner Jasmin Paris, who made history as the first woman to complete the 100-mile Barkley Marathons. Former sports minister Tracey Crouch received a damehood for her leadership in football governance, while Jean-Christophe Gray was honored with the title of Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order. Ardern expressed her gratitude for the honor, stating it acknowledges not just her efforts but also her family and supporters in New Zealand.
