Eugene Levy's Home Destroyed in Wildfire

Eugene Levy, the star of 'Schitt's Creek', has lost his Pacific Palisades home to the devastating wildfires sweeping through the Los Angeles area, which have burned an estimated 15,832 acres and destroyed around 1,000 structures. The 78-year-old actor faced severe traffic while trying to evacuate and described the smoke over Temescal Canyon as 'pretty black and intense'. His two-story property, purchased for $3.9 million in 2006, was reduced to rubble amid the flames. Other celebrities like Paris Hilton and Matthew Perry have also been affected, with Perry's former home currently under threat from the fire. Firefighters are actively working to contain the blazes as evacuation orders remain in effect for tens of thousands of residents. Levy, who was named honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades in 2021, has strong ties to the community despite primarily residing in Toronto.
