Jonathan Owens Supports Biles at Paris Olympics

Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens has arranged time off from training camp to support his wife, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, during the Paris Olympics. This agreement was part of Owens' contract negotiations when he joined the Bears in March. Owens, who will miss practice and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game against the Texans, expressed his nervous excitement to watch Biles compete in person for the first time, as he couldn't attend the Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19 restrictions. Bears head coach Matt Eberflus praised the decision, emphasizing the importance of supporting loved ones and respecting the Olympics. Owens will leave for Paris after practice on Monday and return on August 3 to resume his pre-season training.
