Five Arrested in Spain for Brad Pitt Scam

Spanish police have arrested five individuals for impersonating Hollywood actor Brad Pitt to scam two women out of approximately $364,000. The scammers, who contacted the victims through a fan page, used emails and WhatsApp messages to convince the women they were in romantic relationships with Pitt and persuaded them to invest in non-existent projects. The victims, who were chosen based on their vulnerable psychological profiles, lost €175,000 and €150,000 respectively. Authorities recovered about €85,000 and seized various items including mobile phones, computers, and a diary with deceptive phrases. Brad Pitt's representative confirmed that the actor has no official social media presence and warned fans against unsolicited online outreach.
