Noel Callow, a high-profile Group 1 jockey with over 1,600 career wins, is under investigation by the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission for racially abusing Aboriginal people in videos reportedly filmed in Darwin last year. In the videos, Callow engages in a conversation with an Indigenous man, making offensive remarks about his hygiene and using racist language, including urging him to shower and offering pizza and beer in a mocking manner. A second video shows Callow, while riding a bicycle, directing extremely offensive racist slurs at Aboriginal pedestrians. These videos, initially shared privately, have since circulated widely, prompting official scrutiny. Callow recently returned from a two-month suspension related to a physical altercation with another jockey at a Queensland race meet. The investigation is ongoing as Callow continues to participate in racing events in Darwin.
