Cirium Report: Delta, Minneapolis Airport Lead in Punctuality

Cirium's annual report reveals Delta Air Lines as the most punctual North American carrier for the third year, with an on-time arrival rate of 84.72%. The best performing global airport was Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, leading with an on-time departure rate of 84.44%, closely followed by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in India, with an 84.42% rate. Other North American Airlines including Alaska, American, and United Airlines also recorded an on-time arrival rate of 80% or above. The industry saw a rise in passenger revenues in the US domestic market to 20% above 2019 levels in Q3 2023, indicating a path to recovery. However, Air Canada lagged with an on-time arrival rate of just 63.17%.
