Dashverse Raises $13M Series A Led by Peak XV Partners

Dashverse, an Indian AI startup specializing in mobile-first entertainment content, has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners, marking the largest Series A investment in this sector. Existing investors Z47 and Stellaris Venture Partners also participated. The company plans to use the funds primarily to develop and operate its AI-driven platforms, particularly the micro drama app DashReels and the generative video studio Frameo.AI, aiming to capitalize on the rapidly growing micro drama market in India. CEO Sanidhya Narain highlighted the high costs of AI model training, with a single image model requiring up to $2 million in GPU resources, and the company is seeking government GPU support under the IndiaAI mission to reduce these costs. Dashverse’s products collectively have over 20 million users worldwide, and the company targets reaching 100 million users in India before global expansion, focusing on building a robust ecosystem through continuous innovation and talent acquisition. The startup is prioritizing video content development while maintaining its comics app, Dashtoon, with plans to revive it in the future.
