Octopus Energy has partnered with ChargePlace Scotland to enhance electric vehicle (EV) charging accessibility across Scotland through the Octopus Electroverse app. This collaboration connects nearly 2,900 ChargePlace Scotland chargers, allowing EV drivers to access the majority of chargers in the country with just one tap, thanks to the app's 'one card, one app' model. Scotland, which boasts the highest concentration of EV chargers per 100,000 people outside Greater London, has seen ChargePlace Scotland grow almost 50-fold in chargepoint availability over the past decade. The Electroverse platform also integrates features like map navigation, route planning, and in-car support, simplifying the charging experience for users. Additionally, over 800 Evolt chargers across the UK are now connected to the Electroverse, expanding the network's reach to over 800,000 chargers throughout Europe. This partnership underscores Scotland's leadership in EV infrastructure and the commitment to improving EV driver convenience.
