Man Arrested for First-Degree Murder After Millington Shooting

A 69-year-old man named Randall Taylor was found shot in the head inside a home on Bonnie Brae Drive near Millington, Memphis. Deputies responded to the scene around 11 a.m., attempted life-saving measures, and transported Taylor to Methodist North hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office identified 36-year-old Daniel Optiz as the suspect, charging him with first-degree murder and possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
