Michigan State rallied to an 86-72 victory over Bowling Green, overcoming a double-digit deficit and finishing the game with an impressive 18-0 run. Jaden Akins led the Spartans with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds, while seven players scored in double figures, including Frankie Fidler and Carson Cooper with 12 points each. The Spartans struggled with their shooting from beyond the arc, going 4-for-20, but capitalized on free throws, making 28 of 32 attempts. Bowling Green initially led by as many as 12 points, and despite a strong start, they failed to score in the final 7:11 of the game, missing their last nine shots. Coach Tom Izzo made adjustments in the lineup following a loss to Kansas, which seemed to pay off as the Spartans avoided back-to-back defeats.
