Delta Sigma Theta Inducts Eight Honorary Members Including Queen Latifah, Jackie Joyner-Kersee

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. inducted eight extraordinary women as its 2025 Honorary Members during its 57th National Convention, recognizing their outstanding contributions across politics, entertainment, business, sports, and advocacy. The honorees include Grammy-winning rapper and actress Queen Latifah, political strategist Donna Brazile, actress Danielle Brooks, entrepreneur Fawn Weaver, business leader Janice Bryant Howroyd, Olympic legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee, WNBA star and executive Swin Cash, and tech innovator Toni Townes-Whitley. This prestigious Honorary Membership is the Sorority’s highest honor and celebrates women who have exemplified Delta’s principles of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action, reflecting its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust. Queen Latifah, known for her trailblazing music and acting career, as well as her advocacy in health and housing, was highlighted as a key figure among the inductees. Swin Cash’s celebrated basketball career includes two WNBA championships and two Olympic gold medals, underscoring her status as a sports icon.
