Multiple individuals have been convicted and sentenced under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for various crimes against minors across India. In Katghora, a 21-year-old man received life imprisonment for attempting to rape and murder a three-and-a-half-year-old girl. A 54-year-old man in Thane was arrested for repeatedly raping his 16-year-old daughter, while a 52-year-old man in Haridwar was apprehended for attempting to rape a nine-year-old girl. In Koppal, two men were sentenced to 20 years each for kidnapping and raping minor girls. Additionally, courts in Gurgaon and Tirunelveli handed out 20-year sentences in separate POCSO cases for sexual offences against minors. The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court ruled that stalking a minor girl constitutes sexual harassment under the POCSO Act.
