The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team is on the verge of breaking the Big Ten win-streak record, aiming for their 70th consecutive victory during their matches against Ohio State and Illinois this weekend. Currently, the Nittany Lions are tied with Iowa for the longest Big Ten win streak at 69 matches, and a win would make them the second team in NCAA Division I men's wrestling history to achieve this milestone, following Oklahoma State. The team's dominance is underscored by their undefeated record this season, as well as the personal achievements of wrestlers like Beau Bartlett, who has never lost a dual match during his college career. Coach Cael Sanderson emphasizes that their focus goes beyond just winning, prioritizing performance and attitude. Meanwhile, the Penn State women’s hockey team recently tied with Rochester Institute of Technology, continuing their competitive season. They previously secured a victory against the Tigers, extending their winning streak to 11 games, showcasing their strong performance in college athletics overall.
