Boston Police Arrest 13 in Multi-State Sexual Exploitation Sting

On June 4, 2025, law enforcement agencies including the Boston Police Department's Human Trafficking Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Massachusetts State Police Special Services Section – High Risk Victims Squad, and the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force conducted an undercover operation near the South Bay Mall in Boston to combat sexual exploitation of women. The coordinated sting targeted exploiters, traffickers, and sex buyers, resulting in the arrest of thirteen suspects charged with exchanging sex for fees. Among those arrested was Jason Armengol from Jacksonville, Florida, who faced additional charges including possession of Class B drugs and an active warrant for violation of an abuse prevention order. The suspects, originating from various locations such as Massachusetts, Vermont, and Florida, are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
