Man Survives Unprovoked Push onto Midtown Subway Tracks; Suspect Sought
A 44-year-old man was shoved onto the subway tracks at the 50th Street and Seventh Avenue station in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday evening in an unprovoked attack. The victim managed to pull himself back onto the platform before a train arrived and was taken to Bellevue Hospital with facial injuries, where he remains in stable condition. Police from the Midtown North Precinct and Transit District One responded to the scene, but the suspect fled and has not yet been located. Authorities have not released a description of the assailant and are unsure whether the victim and suspect knew each other. Bystanders assisted the victim until emergency responders arrived, and police are actively seeking information from the public to aid in the investigation. Anyone with details is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers confidentially.
