Jess Wright reveals son's rare heart condition, anticipates surgery

Jess Wright has revealed that her two-year-old son Presley was diagnosed with a rare and potentially life-threatening heart condition known as Bicuspid Aortic Valve, which will eventually require open heart surgery. The diagnosis came after initially thinking Presley had a routine chest infection, but further tests uncovered the congenital defect, which only affects about one percent of people. Wright described the moment she learned the news as devastating, saying it felt as though her world had stopped moving, and she continues to struggle with the emotional impact. Presley’s form of the condition is particularly severe, with doctors warning that he may need surgery before the age of ten, necessitating regular medical check-ups every 12 weeks. Wright and her family are trying to come to terms with the diagnosis and have become involved in raising awareness and funds for children's cardiac care.
