Florida Teen Killed After Online Meeting

Miranda Corsette, a 16-year-old from Florida, was kidnapped, killed, and dismembered by Steven Gress and Michelle Brandes after meeting Gress through a social media app. Authorities report that Corsette met Gress on February 14 and went missing after visiting him again the following day. She was held against her will, beaten, and eventually suffocated before being killed between February 20 and 24. Gress and Brandes allegedly dismembered her body and disposed of it in a dumpster in Hillsborough County. Gress was arrested on March 5 on unrelated charges and now faces first-degree murder and kidnapping charges, while Brandes turned herself in and faces similar charges. The investigation is ongoing, with police seeking additional evidence and charges.
