Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Driver Lebanon County Pennsylvania
A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred early Monday morning on the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike in South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County. The driver, whose identity has not been released, lost control of a 2010 Acura TSX, which veered off the road, traveled across the north berm and grass shoulder for approximately 397 feet, and collided head-on with a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to spin before coming to rest against a guard rail, after which it caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from the Lawn Fire Department extinguished the blaze and found the driver deceased inside the vehicle. No other passengers were found at the scene, and Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating the incident. Authorities have not provided details on the cause of the crash.
