Model Luciana Curtis Kidnapped in Sao Paulo

Luciana Curtis, a Brazilian-born model and daughter of a British businessman, was kidnapped at gunpoint along with her husband, Henrique Gendre, and their 11-year-old child in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The family was held captive for 12 hours in a rudimentary shack, where they were coerced into transferring money to their captors. The incident occurred as they were leaving a restaurant in the Alto do Lapa neighborhood. The family was released unharmed early Thursday after their eldest child, who was at home, raised the alarm.
