Commanders sign offensive tackle Foster Sarell to one-year deal

The Washington Commanders have signed offensive tackle Foster Sarell to a one-year deal as they continue to bolster their offensive line. Sarell, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound player, was previously an undrafted free agent and spent the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, appearing in 35 games and starting three. His versatility allows him to play both left and right tackle, making him a candidate to compete for the swing tackle position following the departure of Cornelius Lucas. General Manager Adam Peters is focused on building a competitive roster around quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has shown promise during his rookie contract.
