This game marked Alabama's first win in Gainesville since the 2020-21 season, and it extended their winning streak against Florida to three games, the longest since 1986-88. Nye’s achievement follows a strong outing where she hit six 3-pointers against Georgia just days prior. Alongside Nye, Sarah Ashlee Barker contributed significantly with 18 points and 10 rebounds, helping Alabama improve to 19-5 overall and 6-4 in the SEC. The Tide maintained their lead in the fourth quarter by making nine consecutive shots after Florida narrowed the gap to three points. Alabama will next face Mississippi State on February 9.
