Dearborn Police Arrest Fourth Suspect in 2023 Murder Case

Dearborn police have arrested a fourth suspect, Dawanne Midgett, in connection with the September 2023 murder of Hassan Salame, the owner of Lama's Florist. Salame was shot while exiting a restaurant, and initial investigations led to the arrests of three other suspects: Lindsay Thurmond, Quenton Goston, and Devon Travon Green, who were apprehended shortly after the incident. Midgett, 35, faces multiple charges including felony murder and armed robbery, and was arraigned on March 21, 2025, where he was remanded to Wayne County Jail without bond. A jury trial for the other suspects has been postponed pending Midgett's court proceedings. Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin emphasized the department's commitment to justice for victims and their families. A probable cause conference for Midgett is scheduled for April 2, 2025.
