Ronald D. Moore Named Showrunner for God of War

Ronald D. Moore has been appointed as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the Prime Video adaptation of 'God of War,' following the departure of the original creative team, including Rafe Judkins. The change comes after multiple scripts failed to align with Sony's vision for the series. Moore's involvement marks a new direction for the project, which is based on the popular PlayStation video game franchise that follows the character Kratos on his epic journey. This is Moore's first major project since returning to Sony TV under a multi-year deal after a successful tenure that included hits like 'Battlestar Galactica' and 'For All Mankind'. Cory Barlog, the creative director at Santa Monica Studio, will continue as an executive producer on the series. The series aims to match the success of other adaptations like 'The Last of Us.'
