OpenAI's chief product officer, Kevin Weil, highlighted that this initiative aims to make AI technology more approachable, particularly for newcomers. The service operates using OpenAI's Realtime API and is designed to offer a simplified version of ChatGPT's capabilities compared to the web interface. While it provides a low-cost opportunity to interact with AI, concerns about potential misuse and ethical considerations are raised as AI becomes more embedded in daily life.
