Cedar Park Plans 300-Room Marriott Hotel, Convention Center

Great Lakes Capital, in collaboration with Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) and the City of Cedar Park, Texas, has announced the development of a full-service Marriott hotel and convention center within the CedarView mixed-use district. The hotel will feature approximately 300 guest rooms, a 30,000-square-foot event space, a restaurant, a breakfast café, and a pool area, aiming to serve both business and leisure travelers. Construction is expected to begin in May 2025, with a planned opening in early 2027. This project is anticipated to significantly contribute to Cedar Park's economic growth, generating substantial tax revenue while enhancing the local community's hospitality offerings. City officials have expressed enthusiasm for realizing a long-term strategic goal with the hotel's development, which is expected to attract visitors and provide vital resources for the area. The CedarView project will also include a large Nebraska Furniture Mart and a Scheels sporting goods store, further establishing it as a regional destination for commerce and tourism.
