Bhim Sen Kohli, an 80-year-old man, was brutally assaulted and later died from injuries sustained while walking his dog in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, Leicester. The incident, which occurred close to his home, led to the arrest of five children—two 14-year-olds and three 12-year-olds—on suspicion of murder. Kohli had previously reported youths for anti-social behavior and racial abuse in the area, but no significant action was taken by authorities. Neighbors and police sources revealed that Kohli was pushed, kicked in the neck and spine, and subjected to abuse before the attack. The local community and Kohli's family are devastated, and Leicestershire Police have referred themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to prior complaints lodged by Kohli. Detective Inspector Emma Matts described the circumstances as extremely tragic and upsetting, with the investigation ongoing.
