‘Dreams (Sex Love)’ Wins Golden Bear at Berlin Film Festival
At the 75th Berlin Film Festival, the Golden Bear was awarded to the Norwegian film "Dreams (Sex Love)" directed by Dag Johan Haugerud, which tells the story of a teenage girl's infatuation with her teacher. Jury president Todd Haynes praised the film for its intelligent portrayal of desire and the art of writing. The Silver Bear prize went to Brazilian director Gabriel Mascaro's dystopian film "The Blue Trail," while the Best Director award was given to Huo Meng for "Living the Land." Rose Byrne was recognized as Best Actor for her role in "If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You," and Andrew Scott won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Blue Moon." This year's festival showcased a range of films, highlighting both established and emerging talents in global cinema. The event was particularly notable as it coincided with significant political discussions in Germany regarding migration and economic issues.
